Chairman’s Message

At WINGS (Welfare and Illustration of Needy Gramin Society), we see every village as the foundation of India’s progress. Our vision is not just to deliver development, but to ensure it reaches, resonates, and sustains at the grassroots level.

Over the years, WINGS has evolved as a trusted implementation partner for flagship government programs, including the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) under the State Water and Sanitation Mission (SWSM) and the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) of the Panchayati Raj Department. Through these initiatives, we have built effective models of community-driven awareness, participatory governance, and behavioural change.

Our strength lies in our people-first approach — combining innovation, communication, and on-ground experience. From large-scale Media, IEC, and BCC campaigns to village-level training and capacity building, we ensure that every initiative creates measurable impact. This approach has helped us connect government vision with community action, spreading awareness on water, health, hygiene, and sanitation across the remotest corners of Uttar Pradesh and beyond.

As we continue to expand our reach from State to District, Block, Gram Panchayat, and Revenue Villages, our focus remains clear — to scale up social development initiatives that integrate orientation, awareness, and behavioural change across health, hygiene, education, skilling, and empowerment, bringing all under one holistic framework.

Our work is not just about running campaigns; it’s about creating informed and responsible communities that participate, lead, and sustain change. Through communication, behavioural transformation, and capacity-building efforts, we have demonstrated how awareness can truly transform lives at the village level..

With strong ground team and network partners, we are committed to building stronger, healthier, and self-reliant communities — ensuring that the story of rural India continues to be one of confidence, capacity, and change.

Our Vision

WINGS envisions a just, empowered, and inclusive society where every individual—regardless of geography, gender, caste, or economic status—has the right and opportunity to live a healthy, dignified, and meaningful life.

We aspire to be a leading force in transforming rural India by promoting sustainable solutions to social challenges, advocating for equity and empowerment, and nurturing community leadership. Our long-term vision is to contribute to the realization of national and global development goals by becoming a trusted enabler of positive change—one village, one family, and one individual at a time.

Our Mission

At WINGS, our mission is to catalyse sustainable and inclusive development by empowering rural and underserved communities through targeted social welfare initiatives. We are committed to enhancing lives by increasing awareness, fostering behavioural change, and ensuring equitable access to essential services such as safe drinking water, sanitation, health, hygiene, education, and livelihood opportunities.

We aim to achieve this by implementing community-driven programs, strengthening institutional capacities, and delivering high-quality support services in collaboration with government bodies, civil society, and local stakeholders. Through participatory approaches and grassroots engagement, WINGS strives to build informed, resilient, and self-reliant communities that can drive their own development..

Work Experience

Since 2007, WINGS – Society for Social Welfare & Awareness has been actively involved in delivering impactful programs in collaboration with various government departments and local bodies. The organization has worked extensively with key stakeholders such as the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), State Water & Sanitation Mission, Department of Panchayati Raj, Jal Nigam (Gramin), and District Water & Sanitation Committees (DWSCs). Our core areas of work include the execution of a wide range of Information, Education & Communication (IEC) activities, such as awareness campaigns, street plays, wall paintings, audio-visual shows, and distribution of printed materials to promote behavioural change at the grassroots level. We have also organized numerous training programs tailored for field workers, school staff, ASHA workers, and PRI members, with a focus on WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) principles and community mobilization.

Additionally, WINGS has conducted several district and village-level workshops aimed at capacity building and interdepartmental coordination. We are deeply engaged in community-driven activities, ensuring active participation and ownership among local populations for the sustainability of development programs.
